Quinton Chester Nydegger: Man charged after allegedly setting another man on fire
A 51-year-old man has been critically injured with serious burns to his head, chest and face after allegedly being set on fire by a 42-year-old man near Kiama.

A man who lives on Saddleback Mountain Rd allegedly set a 51-year-old man on fire on Saturday, leaving him in hospital with critical burns to his head, chest and face.
According to NSW Police, at about 4.20pm emergency services went to a property on Fountaindale Road at Saddleback Mountain, west of Kiama, following reports a man had sustained serious burns.
Officers found a vehicle engulfed in flames and a 51-year-old man suffering burns nearby.
Police arrested Quinton Chester Nydegger at around 9.30am on Sunday before charging him with causing grievous bodily harm as well as throwing or laying an explosive or other substance with intent to burn, maim or cause grievous bodily harm.
Nydegger didn‘t appear in Wollongong Local Court on Monday, but he was formally denied bail and he will return to court on Wednesday, August 17.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to Royal North Shore Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition with significant burns to his body.
