A teenage girl has been charged with murder after mother-of-two Kristie McBride died in hospital with stab wounds a week after a shocking street brawl south of Wollongong.

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with murder after mother-of-two Kristie McBride died in hospital with stab wounds a week after a shocking street brawl south of Wollongong.
Emergency services were called to Wegit Way, Warrawong, about 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 22, following reports of a brawl.
Police found Ms McBride, 39, with stab wounds and she was taken to Wollongong Hospital where she died on Saturday, December 2.
Seven people – six juveniles and a 37-year-old woman – have been charged in relation to the incident. They remain before the courts.
The 15-year-old was initially charged with wounding a person with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.
On Thursday, police charged the girl with an additional offence of murder.
She remains in custody and is next due to appear at a children’s court on Tuesday, December 12.
The 37-year-old woman is charged with affray and being armed with the intent to commit an indictable offence.
She’s been granted conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday, December 13.
One of the 17-year-old girls is charged with being armed with the intent to commit an indictable offence, while the other is charged with affray.
Both were granted conditional bail to appear at a children’s court on Tuesday, December 12.
Another 15 year old was one of the first three to be charged along with two other girls, aged 13 and 14.
The two oldest were charged with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, custody of a knife in a public place and affray.
The 14 year old was also charged with intimidation while the youngest was charged with affray.
