Illawarra: Two men charged over alleged historical child sex assault of teenager

Two men have been charged with alleged historical child sexual assault offences from 2004 in Sydney’s south.
Police arrested a 53-year-old man from a caravan park in Barrack Point and a 46-year-old man from a house in Barrack Heights.
The men were charged with allegedly assaulting a teenage girl between January and October 2004 in the Illawarra region.
Police also seized methylamphetamine, cannabis and prohibited weapons including an electronic stun device from the caravan around 7am Tuesday.
The 53-year-old has been charged with nine counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a person between 14 and 16 years old, sexual intercourse with a person between 14 and 16 years old, four counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was also charged with two counts of allegedly supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, and six counts of possessing or using a prohibited weapon without permit.
The younger man was charged with allegedly detaining a person with intent to obtain advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and three counts of alleged aggravated sexual assault with a victim under the age of 16.
Neither man applied for bail when appearing at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday March 27.
