A former Wollongong Hospital doctor accused of sexually touching another man at a train station has been cleared of all charges relating to the alleged event.

Paul Surrinder Singh Labana was charged in December of two counts of sexually touching without consent and a further charge of intimidation.

Labana, who is now a medical writer, was on a community correction order at the time of the alleged incident on the penultimate day of 2022. It had been alleged he sexually touched a stranger at Wollongong train station while wearing scrubs and a stethoscope.

The British national pleaded not guilty to the three charges.

Labana, who was represented by lawyer Patrick Schmidt, successfully fought the charges in Wollongong Local Court on Monday with Magistrate Mark Douglass finding him not guilty and dismissing the matter.

Labana still has an unrelated matter outstanding regarding a charge of failing to leave a premises when required.

He will return to court in July.
