An alleged drug dealer - who a court heard has served time behind bars for a drug-related tomahawk attack in 2015 - has been hit with a plethora of charges relating to running a drug house.

Shannon William Crawford applied for bail in Wollongong Local Court on Friday after being charged with 20 drug and weapon offences including supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug – namely 300g of methamphetamine.

Documents tendered in court state the 38-year-old father of three is a repeat offender with “extremely negative surroundings” and a “blatant disregard for the law”.

The court heard police attended Crawford’s Farmborough Heights home on Thursday morning where he was standing outside near a blue BMW.

The officers were serving a firearm and weapons prohibition on Crawford and conducted a search of his house where they allegedly uncovered a multitude of drugs and weapons.

The documents state police allegedly seized about 321g of meth including 300g inside two resealable bags stored inside a safe.

Police allegedly located cannabis, cocaine, buprenorphine and a vile of liquid ecstasy as well as six weapons.

The weapons included two slingshots, nunchucks, a set of three throwing knives and a large zombie knife with “Z Hunter” branding and a green bio-hazed symbol on it.

Police allegedly seized a zombie knife from Shannon Crawford's address.

The documents state the knife was “intended to be used for violence on a person or fictional creature i.e. a zombie”.

Police also allegedly seized seven cannabis plants alone with equipment used to cultivate the drug.

In court, police prosecutor sergeant Amelia Wall submitted Crawford had served a prison sentence of four years and six months for drug and assault crimes.

Sgt Wall added the latest charges were the fourth time in seven years he has been hit with drug charges.

“He is nothing if not consistent with his criminal offending,” she said. “The accused is a real risk to the community.”

Magistrate Mark Douglass sighted the “strong probability” of another jail sentence if convicted, when opting to refuse Crawford bail.

The matter will return to court in August.
