Dimity Quinlan to stand trial over crash that killed teen boy
A young woman will stand trial after a horrific crash at Shellharbour claimed the life of a teenage boy earlier this year.

A 25-year-old Shellharbour woman has been committed to stand trial in the NSW District Court following a horrific crash that claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy earlier this year.
Dimity Quinlan faced Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday, where she was formally committed to stand trial on a charge of dangerous driving occasioning death after a Barrack Heights teen was allegedly struck by her sedan on February 11.
Quinlan was charged by investigators in March, more than a month after the crash.
It will be alleged the Year 11 boy was riding his bike across Wattle Road, Shellharbour, around 6pm when he was struck by Quinlan’s sedan.
He sustained head and chest injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being flown to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died.
Quinlan was not injured in the collision and participated in mandatory blood and urine testing.
During her brief appearance in court on Wednesday, Quinlan was committed to stand trial in the NSW District Court, with her arraignment set down for January 2021.
