An Illawarra drug kingpin has admitted to multiple crimes relating to an illegal operation run from his parent’s Primbee home.

Daniel Robert Bojlevski appeared in Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, knowingly directing a criminal group and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The pleas come after 17 other charges were withdrawn by the Crown prosecutor.

Bojlevski, 29, spent more than 450 days behind bars before securing Supreme Court bail in December after a $1m surety was offered.

During the bail hearing, the Crown submitted it had “a strong case” based on telephone intercepts and the items found during a search of the Primbee address.

Justice Sarah McNaughton said during the bail hearing it was her “assessment” Bojlevski would be convicted in the event of a trial, but acknowledged it could “likely take up to two years before the matter goes before a jury”.

In July, Daniel’s father, Robert Bojlevski, pleaded guilty to supplying a small quantity of a prohibited drug and supplying an indictable quantity of drugs – namely 2.89kg of cannabis.

The older Bojlevski, aged 52, pleaded not guilty to dealing with the proceeds of crime and two counts of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime – namely more than $110,000 in cash. These charges will be subject to a hearing in October.

Robert Bojlevski, who has a $500,000 surety hanging over his head, will face a hearing in Wollongong Local Court in October.

Daniel Bojlevski will also be sentenced for two driving charges including driving while disqualified.

The matter will be mentioned in Wollongong District Court next month.
