Samir Basnet charged with sexual touching in Hornsby
A driving instructor has been charged with sexually touching a woman without their consent. He will fight the charges.

A 37-year-old driving instructor has been charged with sexually groping a woman’s vagina and breast without consent.
Police charged Samir Basnet with two counts of non-consensual sexually touching on January 31.
Basnet pleaded guilty to one charge of touching the victim on their breast and leg and pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of touching their vagina without consent.
The court heard the Hornsby man had a limited criminal history, aside from a low range drink driving matter in 2012.
Basnet faced Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday (April 12).
Basnet’s reporting obligation was removed as a result of an updated bail condition but is strictly required to reside at his Hornsby address.
Another condition is that Basnet must not undertake any driving instructor duties.
Basnet has been on bail since February 1.
Basnet will fight the charges when they appear before Hornsby court on December 12 for hearing.
