A measles alert has been issued by NSW Health for Sydneysiders in areas including Lane Cove, Hornsby and Lindfield after two separate men presented with symptoms.

NSW Health confirmed one of the men, who said he had been vaccinated against the viral infection, had just returned from South-East Asia.

He spent time in parts of Hornsby, Lane Cove, Lindfield, Sydney CBD, Newtown, Erskineville and travelled by public transport while infectious between June 30 and July 8.
