On Friday, October 9, about 10am, a car was heading out of a driveway onto Northctote Rd in Hornsby when the female driver saw two people about to cross the driveway.

“It was so scary, I was shocked because nothing like that has ever happened to me before. When I stopped the car he threw his arms in the air and I waved,” she said.

“He walked across but then began yelling and walked around the back of my car and started hitting it, which was really loud. He was swearing, saying I was f***ing crazy and other unfriendly names.

“My three-year-old daughter was sitting in the back and I didn’t know what he was going to do. I was scared he was going to try and open the doors.

“Then he spat in the car and I wound the window up and he hiked up a big green flemmy piece of spit on my window but it didn’t get inside the car.”

She said he was with a female companion who simply “stood back”.

As the pair left the mother took pictures of them from behind and reported the incident to police.

“My daughter told her friends at preschool about what happened, so I had to explain the incident to the teachers.”

She posted about the incident on social media to warn other residents.

“That’s horrible what a disgusting thing to do. If they are caught they can get a massive fine for spitting in a public place too! I’m sorry you had to experience that,” one social media user wrote in response.

Another resident wrote: “I’m sorry you had to face this incident. For future, please install dashcam or some kind of interior cam for evidence.”

Meanwhile, someone stated they'd seen the couple in the area before.

“I saw these two before. Please pass your complaint to police. It is important violent people get reported.”

Police confirmed investigations are ongoing and have asked anyone with information in relation to the incident to contact Hornsby Police on 9476 9799 or to contact Crime Stoppers.
