The madam of a Hornsby brothel raided by police has had her bail granted, after she was arrested over her alleged involvement in a ‘sophisticated’ drug ring.

A Hornsby brothel at the centre of a six-month police investigation into a “sophisticated drug distribution network” remains under lock-and-key — two weeks after it was raided by a specialist strike force.

A series of simultaneous raids were conducted at the George St massage parlour in Hornsby, as well as the home of the madam of Hornsby 142, which resulted in her arrest alongside three employees, charged with their alleged involvement in the elaborate drug ring.

Strike Force Police allegedly seized cash, methylamphetamine, heroin and cannabis in the operation, with drug paraphernalia allegedly uncovered in several rooms.

The brothel remains a no-go zone, with a sign on the door on Thursday claiming it was “closed for maintenance”.

Owner Min Van Campenhout was released on bail with strict conditions on Wednesday by Hornsby Local Court magistrate Williams, being told not to go within 200m of her business.

Ms Van Campenhout will return to her home in Wahroonga, also the subject of a raid, which the Advocate revealed she purchased for more than $2 million in 2017.

Her employee Jun Jia remains in custody and is due to appear at Hornsby court on October 10 following a series of eight charges against him ranging from supply of a prohibited drug to participating in a criminal group.

Mr Jia, who lives in a Strathfield apartment, was allegedly found with up to 250g of Methamphetamine during the police operation at midday on Friday.
