A man who allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in front of children in Sydney’s leafy north shore has appeared in court.

Toukley man Bryan Villatuya fronted Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday following allegations of sexual misconduct across two separate occasions at Waitara.

The 32-year-old man has been charged with two counts of carrying out a sexual act with another without consent and two counts of intentionally doing a sexual act with children, aged between 10 and 16.

According to documents tendered to Hornsby Local Court, these allegations date back to two separate occasions — both taking place in Waitara — this year.

Police will allege on June 29, between 7:11am and 7:20pm, Villatuya exposed his penis towards the alleged victim and masturbated in a public place.

The police allegations for the second set of charges run in a similar vein.

On August 17, police will allege Villatuya once again exposed his penis towards an alleged victim and masturbated in a public place.

In court today, Villatuya did not speak as his defence lawyer, Alex Istifan, asked for the matter to be adjourned for three weeks as it had been referred to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Villatuya remains on bail. The matter will next return to Hornsby Local Court on October 19.
