Racist stickers from a white supremacist neo-Nazi group have been discovered in a national park in Sydney’s north, leaving a Sydney councillor appalled.

A Sydney councillor has been left outraged after finding far right white supremacist stickers on a weekend bush walk in northern Sydney.

Randwick Greens’ councillor Kym Chapple took to Twitter on Monday, posting she had removed a trail of stickers promoting the National Socialist Network, a Melbourne-based extremist group with the slogan “Australia for the White Man”.

She said she was walking from Hornsby to Mt Kuring-gai in the Berowra Valley National Park on Sunday when she came across the “fascist and white supremacist” stickers in five different location. Ms Chapple called on others to join in on ripping them down.

“This kind of material has no place anywhere, let alone in common places used by diverse communities from across Sydney,” she said.

“There was at least 10 bits of fascist messaging out there … the community can step up and take direct action by tearing these stickers down too, and they should. These violent racists can get lost, just not in our parks.”

Despite Ms Chapple’s disgust, a NSW National Parks and Wildlife (NWPS) spokeswoman said it was not aware of the stickers “in any national parks in the area”.

“Should inappropriate signage be found on park areas the NPWS will take appropriate measures to remove them,” she said. “People are reminded to report inappropriate signage to the local NPWS.”

The National Socialist Network was formed in 2020 and has recently received media attention protesting against proposed immigration increases in Victoria, having organised a “Stop Immigration Rally” outside the Victorian Parliament House on May 13.

“We are organising (the protest) in opposition to the system’s importation of 715,000 immigrants over the next two years, further exacerbating the housing crisis and ethnic replacement of white Australians in their own suburbs and towns,” the National Socialist Network said in an online statement.

Despite saying “this will be a peaceful and legal demonstration”, it was anything but, with two members charged after clashes with the police.

Before this, protesters revealed a banner which read: “living space for whites: stop immigration” and they were also seen performing the Seig Heil – a salute used by Nazis at political rallies.
