Gabriel Pellegrini has big plans for his football career.
The Baulkham Hills footballer was destined to play football, with his dad and grandfathers playing before him.
He began as a three-year-old, playing for Carlingford United’s under six team as their youngest ever player.
This year he joined the Blacktown Spartans in the U13 National Premier League NSW Youth competition.
“The thing I love the most about playing football is going out onto the pitch and playing with my friends,” he said.
“I also enjoy the team environment and the idea of having no worries.
“I’m also constantly meeting new people and making loads of friends.”
The striker and central attacking midfielder helped bring the U13 Metro West team to victory in this year’s Football NSW State Titles.
The team took out the top spot with six victories and two losses at the end of the week-long tournament in July.
“After the team not performing to the best of their ability the year before, it felt amazing to come out with the win and be crowned champions of the state titles,” Gabriel said.
The 13-year-old Oakhill College student will travel to Argentina with his dad Rafael in November for six weeks of football development.
“I am going to try to benefit my football ability and skill,” he said.
“I’m currently working towards becoming a professional footballer and hoping to represent my country.”
