NSW Health have identified The Hills for increased testing for coronvirus with the number of active cases in the region in double digits.

This morning Dr Kerry Chant from NSW Health called on communities in suburbs listed for increased testing to be vigilant for even the mildest symptoms.

“We want to call on the community to be particularly vigilant for signs and symptoms and identify chains of transmission,” she said.

“It takes a while for suburbs to be taken off the list because we know how stealthy the virus is, it can be transmitted in communities through the mildest of symptoms.”

Other local government areas targeted for increased testing include: Campbelltown, Canterbury Bankstown, the eastern parts of City of Sydney, Fairfield, Guilford, Hornsby, Liverpool, Merrylands (suburb), Parramatta and Woollahra.
