IT’S the $180 million expansion that has been years in the making — but the new retail and dining precinct that will link Castle Towers directly to the Castle Hill Sydney Metro station will open this week.
The Hills Shire Times has given shoppers an exclusive sneak peek at the new space before shoppers can experience it for themselves first-hand when it opens on Thursday.
Castle Towers centre manager, Eddie Paynter, said he expected tens of thousands of people to walk through the space this week.
“We have a four-day festival to celebrate the opening of more than 40 new stores to Castle Towers,” Mr Paynter said.
“With a direct pedestrian tunnel to Castle Hill station, the development project includes
an indoor marketplace with fresh local produce at its heart and a new-era food court,
with interiors inspired by a series of melaleuca paintings by local artist Oliver Watts.”

The soon-to-be opened international marketplace will introduce dozens of new fresh food and dining stores as part of an underground pedestrian link to the Sydney Metro station — the first of its kind across the new network.
Mr Paynter said Castle Towers will also see a collection of leading lifestyle, homewares and tech brands, as well as everyday services “under one roof”.
To celebrate the new precinct and retail offerings, Castle Towers will host four days of
roving consumer experiences, entertainment and activities from Thursday to Sunday.
Last week, the Times revealed the space will be open to the public from December 5.
