The battle for Baulkham Hills is heating up with state Liberal MP David Elliott facing five contenders from all areas of the political spectrum at the March State Election.
Candidates from the Baulkham Hills electorate gathered last week for the draw of the ballot, with representatives from Sustainable Australia, the Animal Justice Party, Labor, The Greens and the Christian Democratic Party poised to take on the sitting Liberal MP David Elliott — who has retained the seat since 2011 and holds a 21.8 per cent margin.
Hills Shire Labor councillor Ryan Tracey, who ran as an unsuccessful candidate for Castle Hill in 2011 and Baulkham Hills in 2015, is one of the candidates for the seat, alongside Sustainable Australia candidate Heather Boyd, Animal Justice Party candidate Linda Newfield, Greens representative Erica Hockley and Christian Democrat Craig Hill.
When it comes to early odds on the outcome of the State Elections in the safe Liberal seat of Baulkham Hills, bookmakers at Sportsbet have Liberal candidate David Elliott at $1.01 to win the seat, while Labor’s Ryan Tracey is coming in at $12.
The Greens candidate, Erica Hockley is currently paying $50 to win the seat on March 23.

CASTLE HILL VOTES
In the safe Liberal seat of Castle Hill, Liberal MP Ray Williams will face just three contenders on March 23.
Candidates for Castle Hill also gathered for the draw of the ballot, with representatives from Sustainable Australia, Labor, The Greens and Sustainable Australia poised to take on the sitting Liberal MP.
Labor candidate David Ager, The Greens candidate David Field and Sustainable Australia representative Herman Kuipers will battle for swing in what is considered the safest Liberal seat in the state.
Mr Williams has been in parliament since his initial election in 2007, when he was the previous member for Hawkesbury. He was elected for the seat of Castle Hill following a seat swap with Dominic Perrottet.
The Liberal Party has a 29.4 per cent margin in the seat.
Bookmakers have very similar odds for the seat of Castle Hill with Liberal candidate Ray Williams paying $1.01 to win the seat, while Labor’s David Ager is paying $12. The Greens Candidate David Field is paying $40 to win the seat.
