Upgrade for North Rocks Public includes library, 15 classrooms: David Elliott

Students at North Rocks Public School are set to benefit from a major upgrade to facilities as early as mid next year, as construction work commences on 15 new flexible learning spaces.

Students at North Rocks Public School are set to benefit from a major upgrade to facilities as early as mid next year, as construction work commences on 15 new flexible learning spaces.

Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott and Education Minister Rob Stokes revealed plans for the $15 million school upgrade, which will also include a new library and administration facilities on Monday.

The major upgrade to classrooms will see capacity for the school increase from 813 to 900.

Mr Elliott said he was thrilled the upgrade was being delivered.

“Schools are the backbone of our communities and I am pleased our local students, teachers and families will have access to high-quality educational facilities now and into the future,” Mr Elliott said.

Mr Stokes said the project is another example of the NSW Government delivering the school resources local students and their families deserve.

“We want our children to have the best opportunities and providing high-quality school facilities is essential,” Mr Stokes said.

The announcement comes as work to upgrade Excelsior Public School gets underway and the completion of Bella Vista and North Kellyville public schools.

A cost of the upgrades or development application plans have not been revealed for the project.
