A 34-year-old man allegedly connected to a large hydroponic cannabis cultivation in Kellyville appeared in Parramatta Local Court today.
Hoang Dong Luong was arrested after police from Strike Force Tassie-19 searched a house on Windsor Rd, Kellyville at 4pm on Sunday in relation to an ongoing hydroponic cannabis cultivation investigation.
Officers allege 237 cannabis plants were found and later seized, which had an estimated street value of $950,000, along with hydroponic equipment during the search of the property, about 4.05pm.
Luong was arrested and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he was charged with large commercial cultivation of cannabis and stealing electricity.
Luong remains in custody after he was refused bail.
He is due to reappear in Parramatta Local Court on December 19.
