AN ALLEGED member of the Assyrian Kings gang has been arrested after police said they found chemicals “consistent” with a clandestine drug laboratory in a Kellyville home.

The State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad was about to raid the Poole Rd property this morning over suspicions of illegal firearms dealing, when the search was abandoned for fire crews and Hazmat specialists to clear the scene.

Police spoke to the alleged member of the notorious Assyrian Kings street gang before he was loaded into a police van and taken to Castle Hill Police Station.

He has not been charged.

The search of the home will resume once the site it cleared.

Officers searched a Maserati and white pantech truck outside the premises.

More information to come.
