A woman is in a serious condition after she was knocked out by a horse in Sydney’s northwest.

Emergency services were called after reports a 25-year-old woman was knocked unconscious by a horse in a private paddock in Glenorie.

She had been leading the horse from the paddock to the stable before the horse had come into contact with her, according to a CareFlight statement.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was dispatched just before 2pm where NSW Ambulance paramedics were treating the woman on scene.

She was intubated and put in an induced coma before she was airlifted to Westmead Hospital.

She remains in a serious condition.
