HILLS residents do not need to mark September 10 on their calendar for council elections this year.
After the State Government forced councils to amalgamate, the Hills Shire Council lost North Rocks, Northmead and Carlingford to Parramatta Council.
The Hills Shire Council elections have been deferred until September 9, 2017 as have all councils who were included in the amalgamations.
Nearby Blacktown and Hawkesbury councils will still hold elections on Saturday, September 10, as they did not merge or have boundaries changed in the council redistributions.
