COVID-19 detected in Castle Hill sewage, warning for residents
There are fears COVID-19 is spreading undetected in northwest Sydney after traces of the virus were detected in sewage at a nearby treatment plant.

COVID-19 has been detected in sewage in Castle Hill as health authorities urge residents to get tested if they have any symptoms.
Western Sydney Local Health District issued an alert on Monday morning after fragments of the virus was detected in routine sewage testing in Castle Hill.
The sample was taken from a Castle Hill treatment plant which serves for more than 8,000 residents in Glenhaven, Dural, Kenthurst, Kellyville and Castle Hill.
A new drive-through COVID-19 clinic has opened today in Rouse Hill at 32 Worcester Road.
The clinic is open 8am to 5pm daily yet will be open to 6pm today (Monday June 7) due to the positive detection.
Health authorities urge anyone with cold-like symptoms – including a runny nose, headache, or fever – to get tested immediately and to isolate until a negative result is received.
