The search for a missing man has ended in tragedy, after his body was found following a three death search in the Hawksebury.
The body of Phong Luu, 72, was found in Lower Portland at about 12.30pm today a four day search, which involved several volunteers and specialist agencies.
NSW Police had launched a search for Mr Luu after the man was reported missing on May 7.
Mr Luu’s car was discovered on West Portland Road, Lower Portland on Monday, a day later.
Police Rescue, NSW SES, the Public Order and Riot Squad, and a mounted police horse unit searched the area as fears mounted due to cold conditions.
Hawkesbury Police Area Command released a public appeal for information, issued two geo-target SMS alerts, and commenced a thorough land search for Mr Luu.
Luu had last been seen wearing pyjamas at a Broomfield St address in Cabramatta at 6am on Sunday.
NSW Police initially said the disappearance was out of character.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
