A man — who police say is residing in Australia unlawfully — will face court after being arrested over an alleged indecent assault of a woman on a bus between Parramatta and Baulkham Hills in March.
A man — who police say is residing in Australia unlawfully — will face court after being arrested over an alleged indecent assault of a woman on a bus between Parramatta and Baulkham Hills in March.
Earlier this week, police released CCTV footage of three men they were looking for relating to separate incidents of alleged indecent assaults on buses and trains across Sydney.
Two of those men have since been arrested.
About 3.15pm on Thursday, a 31-year-old man attended Day Street police station where he was arrested and was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.
The charge relates to an incident about 1.50am on Sunday, March 3, where an 18-year-old woman was allegedly indecently assaulted by the man while travelling on a bus from Parramatta to Baulkham Hills.
The 31-year-old man is due to appear at Central Local Court today.
Police checks also revealed the man, a Sri Lankan national, is residing in Australia unlawfully.
About 4pm on Wednesday, police also arrested a 39-year-old man outside a home in Auburn relating to an incident where a 19-year-old woman was allegedly indecently assaulted by a man on a train travelling to Auburn from St James train station on August 17 last year.
Operation Artemis is an ongoing operation targeting sexual offences on the public transport network.
