The 20-year-old man accused of stabbing three teenagers after his gang gatecrashed a party revealed to police that gang members are awarded points for acts of violence, a court has heard.

Cameron Ansah was arrested and charged with three counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, following a police strike force raid on his Acacia Gardens home in the early hours of October 10.

He and a 17-year-old co-accused, who cannot be named, appeared in Blacktown Local Court and Parramatta Children’s Court respectively, today.

The charges come following a lengthy police investigation surrounding the stabbing of the three teens at a party in Sydney’s west, which police allege occurred after a group of uninvited men attended a party at a home on Redbank Rd in Northmead on August 3 about 10.45pm.

Despite the suggestions of strict bail conditions for his release, including a night curfew, Mr Ansah was refused bail by Blacktown Local Court Magistrate, Leanne Robinson.

Magistrate Robinson raised concerns for the wider community and the alleged teenage victims of the Northmead party stabbing.

“No conditions can mitigate the concerns of the court,” she said.

“Mr Ansah admitted his intention to harm someone when he and his co-accused attended the party.

“He told arresting officers in an interview that the gang he is in issues points for committing acts of violence.”

Magistrate Robinson said there was an “ongoing threat” to alleged victims and members at the party, alleging Mr Ansah “arrived at the party armed, with the intent to harm other people”.

Mr Ansah will remain in custody until his case returns to court on December 5.
