Police are investigating a car crash in Sydney’s north west which killed a 17-year-old boy last night. The car hit a tree before catching fire.

A car crash in Sydney’s north west has claimed the life of a 17-year-old boy.

Police are investigating the single-vehicle incident, which happened around 5pm on Thursday, September 12 at Tizzana Rd, Ebenezer.

A NSW Police spokeswoman said the car left the road and struck a tree before catching fire.

The 17-year-old provisional driver died at the scene.

“A crime scene has been established and will be examined by forensic specialists,” the spokeswoman said.

Tizzana Rd was closed overnight, with diversion put in place at the scene.
