The North Kellyville Public School will include 40 new teaching spaces, a canteen, library, multipurpose hall, as well as office and administration spaces and outdoor learning facilities.

“The proposed building works will provide high quality learning and teaching spaces,” the application to the planning department said.

“Within the primary school catchments of this Cluster, urban development plans include an additional 35,725 dwellings, which the Department of Education equates to a likely demand for 2,560 additional Government primary school students within the precinct by 2031.

“The five existing primary schools in the Department of Education’s Cluster do not have

capacity to meet the projected demand.”

“We want our children to have the best education possible, and this project will help

deliver the high quality education our children deserve,” Mr Williams said.

While Education Minister Rob Stokes said more than $4.2 billion will be spent over for years to build 120 new or upgraded schools, while a further $747 million would be spent on school maintenance.
