The countdown to the NSW Local Government election is edging closer.

But many in NSW still have questions about where to vote.

Voting day is Saturday, September 14, with polling booths to be open from 8am to 6pm.

Voting will be held at schools, churches, community centres and public buildings.

You must vote at a venue in your enrolled council area and can choose from a number of voting options.

These include voting in person at a polling place on election day, pre-poll voting, postal voting and telephone assisted voting for electors who are blind or have low vision.

The NSW Electoral Commission will be conducting the elections for 126 councils across the state with some councils also holding mayoral elections, constitutional referendums and/or polls.

Electoral Commission staff will be on hand to supervise voting.
