Two men allegedly jumped with metal poles in Greenacre carjacking

Two men were allegedly assaulted with metal poles during a carjacking early on Friday morning. When police arrived on the scene they discovered two men, aged 32 and 36, injured.

Two men were allegedly assaulted with metal poles during a carjacking early on Friday morning.

Police were called to Beresford Ave in Greenacre about 3am. When they arrived, they found the two men injured.

Police said the two men had been driving along Rosedale Ave when they were allegedly ambushed by a group of men wielding poles.

They were then assaulted during the carjacking of their Holden Commodore wagon.

The car was found soon afterwards further along the same street, Rosedale Ave.

Police officers have launched an investigation into the incident and establishing crime scenes on both Beresford Ave and Rosedale Ave.

The two men, aged 32 and 36, were taken to Liverpool Hospital to have non life-threatening injuries treated.

No arrests have been made at this time.
