A fifth man has been charged over the murder of bikie boss Alen Moradian, who was shot in broad daylight earlier this year, as CCTV emerges of two men fleeing the scene carrying a firearm.

Emergency services were called to Spring St in Bondi Junction following reports the convicted cocaine peddler had been shot multiple times while sitting in the underground carpark of his apartment block at 8:30am on June 27.

Moradian later died at the scene as police located a burnt-out Porsche nearby in Bondi Junction and a burnt-out Holden Cruze in Zetland with three crime scenes subsequently established and forensically examined.

Following further inquiries, strike force detectives executed a search warrant in Canley Vale, where they arrested a 22-year-old man at 5.50am on Monday.

The man was taken to Fairfield Police Station, where he was charged with murder and failing to comply with digital evidence accessing order direction.

He was refused bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court today, where it was again formally refused before the man applies for bail at the same court on Thursday.

Detective Acting superintendent for Task Force Magnus Virginia Gorman, said police would allege the man’s role played an “important part in the overall achieving of the murder”.

“He [allegedly] facilitated the use of trackers and phones that monitor those trackers which allowed the offenders to locate and carry out the offence,” she said.

“He was a cog in the wheel… He was working at the direction of those who have overall commanded the murder.”

Officers have also released CCTV of two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

In the CCTV footage, a black car pulled up at the underground carpark in Bondi Junction before a hooded man rushed out of the vehicle holding a firearm while the driver remained in the car.

He ran back into the vehicle and stumbled on the door handle before jumping into the front seat and fleeing the scene.

A second clip showed the two hooded men running down James St and into a red Holden Cruze before reversing out.

Taskforce Magnus was established in July to target gun-related and violent crime and to investigate links between organised criminal activity in Sydney.

Detectives attached to Taskforce Magnus also executed two search warrants in Sydney’s southwest and arrested two men, aged 27 and 28 on October 30.

The younger man was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with murder.

He was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court.

The older man was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was also charged with murder and refused bail to appear to before Bankstown Local Court.

Two other men have also been charged and remain before the courts.

Investigations continue.
