A woman, 22, has been hospitalised after a single-vehicle crash near Mudgee

A young woman has been flown to a Sydney hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after she was extricated from her vehicle following a single-vehicle crash.

A woman has been flown to a hospital in Sydney sustaining ‘serious’ head injuries after a crash in the state’s west.

Emergency services were called to Ulan Rd, Frog Rock, about 20km north of Mudgee, following reports of a single-vehicle crash at about 7am on Monday.

According to an Ambulance NSW spokesperson, the 22-year-old woman has sustained an injury to her head.

The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before she was flown to Westmead Hospital with serious injuries.

Fire and Rescue personnel have extricated the woman from the vehicle.

Orana Mid-Western Police District have commenced inquiries into the crash.
