A man has been refused bail in the state’s central west after he allegedly tried to flee police on foot when he had trouble starting a car.
Troy Anthony Scoular, 51, was arrested on Tuesday evening by Orana Mid-Western Police District officers, who attended a home on Digilah Rd, Dunedoo, after receiving information that a wanted man was there.
Police who searched the rear yard claim they found Scoular attempting, without success, to start a car.
He allegedly fled on foot, pursued by officers who eventually arrested him after what police described as “a struggle”.
Scoular was taken to Dubbo Police Station, where officers executed four outstanding arrest warrants for alleged domestic violence-related offences.
He was refused bail to face Dubbo Local Court, where he was remanded in custody to appear in Mudgee Local Court on July 30.
