Teenage girl charged after allegedly stealing car keys, attempting to steal car at Dubbo Square
A 70-year-old woman has been left “shaken” after she was allegedly mugged by a 13-year-old girl in the state’s west.

A 13-year-old girl who allegedly stole car keys out of an elderly woman's hands in an attempt to steal her vehicle is set to face court.
About 1pm on Thursday, a Dubbo teenager allegedly stole car keys from the hands of a 70-year-old woman at Dubbo Square parking facility.
A statement from NSW Police’s Traffic and Highway Patrol Command said after the girl was “unsuccessful” in allegedly stealing the vehicle, she “ran away” on Macquarie St.
Dubbo Highway Patrol and Crash Investigation Unit officers saw the teenager running near Sandy Beach Rd.
After a short foot pursuit, she was apprehended and taken to Dubbo police station where she was charged with robbery and a breach of bail.
The Dubbo teenager was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Children’s Court today.
According to the police statement, the alleged victim was “shaken up” but physically unharmed.
