Tamworth: A man has died following a two-car collision

A man has died following a two-car collision in north-western NSW. See the details below.

An elderly man had died in hospital following a two-car collision in north-western NSW.

About 3pm on March 5, emergency services were called to Duri Road, Tamworth, after reports of a B Double truck and a Toyota Corolla had collided.

Police had been advised the 87-year-old man died in Tamworth Hospital on March 17.

The male Toyota driver and an 88-year-old female passenger were taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment.

The woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries before being released.

The 27-year-old truck driver was also taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Oxley Police District officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
