Summer St, Orange: man and woman charged with robbery in company following alleged assault

A man and woman have been charged following an investigation into an alleged aggravated robbery in the state’s central west earlier this week.
A woman was followed by a man and a woman known to her into toilets at a shopping centre on Summer St, Orange, around 12pm on Monday.
The pair allegedly assaulted the woman and stole cash from her wallet before fleeing the location on foot.
Following inquiries, Central West Police District officers were patrolling the street, about 12.20pm on Thursday, when they saw the 40-year-old woman and the 48-year-old man who were allegedly involved in the incident.
Police approached the pair, before they were arrested and taken to Orange police station.
They were both charged with robbery in company.
The pair were bail refused to appear at Orange Local Court on Friday.
