Investigators have released CCTV vision of a man as investigations continue into the fatal stabbing, allegedly involving two men, in the state’s central west earlier this year.
Just after 12am on August 16, 2023, emergency services were called to a home in Margaret Cres, Dubbo, after reports a man had been injured.
On arrival, police located a man suffering multiple stab wounds to his chest.
Police will allege the man was injured after two men entered the home and stabbed him in bed before the pair fled.
The 39-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.
Detectives commenced an investigation into the man’s death under Strike Force Honefoss.
Following further inquries, Mark Peckham, 39, was charged and arrested with murder on September 19, at a Grafton correctional facility
Peckham made no application for bail, he was refused bail and will reappear to Dubbo Local Court on November 16.
As inquiries continue, investigators have now released CCTV footage of a man seen in the area at the time who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 185cm tall and of a large build.
He is shown wearing dark coloured shirt and shorts.
Police have also received information regarding a small white SUV seen in the area at the time and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact investigators.
