A man has been charged after gunshots were allegedly fired in the state’s central west on Tuesday.
Police were called to Patrick Rd, Dunedoo, following reports of shots fired in the area about 1.50pm.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers attended and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following inquiries, police attended a Patrick Rd property and arrested a 64-year-old man about 9.50pm.
During a search of the property, officers located and seized six firearms and the man’s firearms permit.
The man was taken to Dunedoo Police Station, where he was issued a future court attendance notice for firing a firearm likely to injure a person or property.
He will appear at Coonabarabran Local Court on September 20.
