Four men, aged between 19 to 26, have been charged following an investigation into an alleged street brawl in the state’s central west.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers were called to O’Donnell St, Dubbo, following reports of a brawl about 2.30pm on Sunday.
Officers attended and found two groups of people involved in an alleged verbal altercation.
Police dispersed the group with no reports of any injuries.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Landsdowne Dr, Dubbo, about 12pm on Tuesday, and arrested a 19-year-old man.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station.
A short time later, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old were arrested after attending Dubbo Police Station.
The two 19-year-old men were charged with affray and common assault.
The older man was charged with affray and two counts of common assault.
The trio were granted conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on June 5.
Following further inquiries, police attempted to stop a man riding his bicycle on Boundary Rd, Dubbo, about 8.35am, to speak with him.
The 26-year-old man attempted to flee before falling over and was detained by police.
He was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.
Police allegedly located two knives during a search of the man.
He was charged with affray, common assault, custody of knife in a public place and hindering a police officer in the execution of duty.
The man was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday.
Inquiries are continuing.
