Two men have been refused bail after they were arrested on a street in the state’s central west, three days after allegedly leading police on a pursuit down the same road.

Police said they were patrolling Crouch St, Forbes, when they attempted to stop a white Audi Q5 around 6.45pm on Sunday after checks revealed it had been reported stolen earlier in the evening.

“When it failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated,” police said in a statement.

“It was terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.”

Following inquiries, police attended a home in the same street about 12pm on Wednesday and located the vehicle in the backyard.

Police spoke with the occupant of the home and arrested two men — Marley Carr, 28, and Sebastian Fisher, 19.

They were both taken to Parkes Police Station.

Police claim the Audi was stolen from a home in Johnson St, Forbes, on Sunday afternoon.

Police executed an outstanding arrest warrant on Carr for alleged personal violence and property-related offences.

He was also charged with being carried in a stolen vehicle.

Carr did not apply for bail in Orange Local Court on Thursday.

He will next appear in the same court via audiovisual link on August 8.

Fisher was charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence with people there, taking and driving a vehicle without consent, and driving without ever having a licence.

He was remanded in custody by the same court, having also declined to make a bail application.

Fisher is due to appear again on October 10.
