A man has been charged with a string of offences, including five counts of attempt stalk and intimidation after he allegedly discharged a firearm in a public place in a regional town earlier this year.
On February 29, 2024, around 10.30am, a group of people attended a home on Lynn St, Canowindra, to collect belongings of a woman.
After they approached the home, a man allegedly produced a firearm and discharged it before the group fled.
Chifley Police District officers attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, investigators attended a home on Lynn St, Canowindra, about 6am on Tuesday, and executed a search warrant.
Police located and seized ammunition, cannabis, plants, cannabis seeds, a rifle scope and a mobile phone.
Jack Fliedner was arrested and taken to Cowra Police Station where he was charged with five counts of attempting to stalk and intimidate, fire a firearm in a public place, possess an unregistered firearm in a public place and possess ammunition without a permit.
The 23-year-old man appeared at Cowra Local Court on Tuesday, where he was refused bail to reappear at the same court on June 25.
