A young Dubbo woman who allegedly damaged a police car and fraudulently claimed government relief payments totalling $90,600 was refused bail on Wednesday.

Kali Anderson, 24, pleaded not guilty to 15 charges in Dubbo Local Court after she was arrested on Monday following a search warrant of her home, where “police seized various documents and a number of identification documents”.

Police will allege that Anderson claimed and collected Service NSW payments in six different names, including Micro-Business grants, Covid Test and Isolate payments and a mouse plague rebate.

Documents tendered to Dubbo Local Court reveal the alleged offences took place in September and October last year.

It is alleged that during the officers’ search of her property in Dubbo on Monday, Anderson “intentionally or recklessly” damaged an unmarked Police vehicle.

Two days earlier, police will also allege Anderson did “intimidate” and “threaten to injure and harm” a correctional officer at Wellington Correctional Centre.

Anderson will reappear in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday, May 25, via audio video link with three separate offences to also be mentioned, including assaulting and resisting a police officer in December last year.
