A man has died after a fatal two car crash near Bathurst.
At about 7.30am on Monday, emergency services were called to a crash on Mitchell Highway, Dunkeld.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, with a 20-year-old male pronounced dead at the scene.
The second’s vehicle’s female driver and two passengers, a male and female, were found trapped in the car.
They were later extricated with paramedics treating their injuries at the scene.
The male passenger was taken to Orange Health Service for further treatment, while the women were flown to Liverpool Hospital.
A crime scene was established by officers attached to the Chifley Police District, with a report being prepared for the coroner.
All westbound lanes of the Mitchell Highway near Marys Lane remain closed.
Police advise motorists to divert via the Mid-Western Highway to Blayney, then to Milthorpe Road in order to rejoin the highway at Shadforth.
