Emergency services have evacuated a woman from a blazing house fire after she was reported missing in the state’s central west.
Fire and Rescue NSW, and other emergency services, were called to Freshwater Dr, Dubbo, following reports a two-storey brick and tile house was on fire about 4.30am on Thursday morning.
A RFNSW spokesman said the team upgraded the response en route when they noticed large volumes of smoke.
“One person was reported missing, so Fire and Rescue entered the house, located and rescued that person, who was then conveyed to hospital,” he said.
The spokesman said a firefighter was also “overcome” with heat exhaustion and taken to hospital but has since been released.
“The scene has been handed to police for investigation, but due to the damage of the building and the structural integrity of the building, they have not got a complete all clear,” he said.
