A man has been charged with a string of firearm and drug offences following the search of a home in the state’s west.
Orana Mid-Western Police District officers attended a home on Moss Ave, Narromine, about 5.30pm on Wednesday, and served a Firearm Prohibition Order and Weapon Prohibition Order on a 44-year-old man.
Officers commenced a search of the home where they allegedly seized firearm parts, a rifle, a revolver, a pistol, a paintball gun, ammunition, nunchaku, cannabis, cannabis seeds, methylamphetamine, GHB, suboxone strips and unauthorised prescribed medication.
Aaron Daley was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with possessing a shortened firearm without authority, two counts of possessing an unregistered firearm, purchasing a paintball marker without a permit, possessing an unauthorised pistol and four counts of possessing ammunition without holding a licence.
He was also charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a weapon without a permit, using a stolen firearm or firearm part and breaching bail.
He was refused bail before Dubbo Local Court to reappear on March 7 via audiovisual link.
