Dubbo: Chiropractic Centre proposed for George St

Two chiropractors plan to convert a part of a home into a much needed health centre in Dubbo. See their plans.

Two chiropractors are planning to convert part of a home into a new health care facility to provide chiropractic services and massage therapy.

Plans have been lodged with Dubbo Regional Council for the proposed business to be located at 5 George St in Dubbo near Elston Park.

Revive Chiropractic’s proposed operating hours would be 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm every second Saturday of the month.

Conversion works include one waiting room and one health room while the rest of the space is used for residential use.

“The door between the lounge room and consulting room will be blocked off and sound proofed,” the developer said.

“The door between the waiting area and bedroom will be permanently locked.”

The chiropractors will sell stock related to the practice such as rehabilitation equipment and supplements.

“Chiropractic is a popular allied health service which brings customers to Dubbo from all around the Central West,” the developer said.

The developer noted the use of the space will “poses no adverse impacts to residents” because of the low traffic and lack of noise.

According to the developer, the business operators will cut a small hedge to introduce a disability ramp for better access.

“A disability ramp will be constructed ... leading to the main entrance door which can be accessed from the car park or via the main access point from the street,” the developer said.

The development is on exhibition until March 14.
