Jayden Sarsfield-Cusack, 26, charged over Forbes burglary

A man has been remanded in custody after allegedly being found in possession of items stolen during a “forced entry” burglary in the state’s central west.

A man has been remanded in custody after allegedly being found in possession of items stolen during a “forced entry” burglary in the state’s central west.

Central West police received reports of the burglary on Chelsea Cres at Forbes some time between 7.20pm and 7.30am overnight on July 17.

Jewellery, a television, an electronic device, historic currency, collectable pins, cash and personal items were allegedly stolen during the break-in.

Police were patrolling another street in Forbes about 5.10pm on July 18 when they stopped a car and arrested the passenger.

Police allege Jayden Sarsfield-Cusack, 26, had two pennies and two collectable pins in his possession.

He was taken to Parkes police station and charged with disqualified driving, having goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen, breaking and entering a house to steal, and breaching bail.

Sarsfield-Cusack, whose address in court papers was in Dubbo Regional Council local government area, appeared in Parramatta Local Court on Saturday where he was not required to enter any pleas.

He was refused bail and remanded in custody to appear in Forbes Local Court on Tuesday.
