A man has died following a two car crash in the state’s central west on Tuesday morning.
Emergency services were called to the Mid-Western Hwy, about 10km east of Cowra, following reports of a two car crash involving a Mazda Sedan and a Ford Ranger around 7.20am on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old male driver of the Mazda was trapped for a short time before he was released and transported by NSW Ambulance paramedics to Cowra airport.
The man died en route to the airport.
The 53-year-old female driver of the Ford was taken to Orange Hospital for mandatory testing and observation.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
