A man has died after his motorcycle hit a kangaroo before colliding with another vehicle in the state’s central west.
Emergency services rushed to Baradine Rd, Coonamble, about 6.15pm on Friday following reports a motorcycle had hit a kangaroo.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District arrived to find the motorcyclist had collided with a utility after hitting the kangaroo.
The 44-year-old male rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.
The driver of the utility was uninjured.
A NSW Police spokesman said the utility driver tested negative to mandatory testing and the collision is not being treated as suspicious.
Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
