The man charged after a serious crash in the NSW Central West which saw two people rushed to hospital has fronted court.
Bradley George Boland, 33, appeared in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday after being charged in the wake of the crash about 22km west of Dubbo on August 2.
According to police, about 6.15pm emergency services responded to reports of a three-vehicle crash along the Mitchell Highway.
A 77-year-old man driving a Mitsubishi Triton and a 30-year-old woman driving a Subaru Tribeca both required treatment before the man was flown to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, while the woman was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital.
A crime scene was set up with Boland, who was the sole occupant of a Toyota LandCruiser involved in the collision, being taken to Narromine Police Station where he allegedly blew 0.106 – more than double the legal limit.
Boland, who was uninjured, was initially charged with mid-range drink driving and had his licence suspended.
The Narromine man was granted conditional bail to appear in Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday, however, in the time since additional charges have been laid.
The charges include two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, two counts of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and causing bodily harm by misconduct while driving.
Boland is yet to plead to any of the charges.
The case will return to court in October.
